No 10MB TELKOM SUCKS!!!!!

Wow still no 10MB for me.. I have a very stable 4MB line but Telkom will never upgrade Richardsbay / Empangeni looks like it, I have phoned them countless times. I have a sneaky feeling some customers of mine in Mtunzini has been upgraded to 10MB allready, but have not been to them for a while, cause my boss went there the other day and he said he downloaded a 38mb driver in about
30seconds or that is what he said.. I would really like to go log into their router.. Here's hoping they get some problems soon

Anyways anybody else from Mtunzini area can maybe confirm if they got upgraded to 10MB yet???

O did I mention that TELKOM SUCKS BIG TIME ?????

you guys are going to be waiting a long time... im in Gateway area and nothing everytime u phone its a new story:(

They haven't upgraded that many areas to 10mb, and it's dependant on the backhaul/number of users/feasability etc etc. I don't think everyone is meant to be expecting 10mb just because their line is stable enough for it.

Haven't upgraded mine either yet :/

LOL don't joke we have to many customers still bringing in busted 56k modems, cause they don't unplug telephone cable during lightning storms, then they blame us for selling faulty modems, till you show them the burned modem... Freakin noobs xD

I thought Richards Bay was still on dial-up/carrier pigeon;)

You guys must remember like "all roads lead to Rome" .... All optic fibre cables lead to Mtunzini Submarine station (just down the rOAD!)...... :-) .....Hello I have Neotels two fiber cables going right past my house! I know, the network layout doesnt work like that, but we can hope!

It actually does not. It goes to Mtunzini for the SAFE cable and Melkbos (in Cape Town) for the SAT2 and SAT 3 cables.

Seems Telkom is slow on the roll out. Not sure why.

because you need to be served by an exchange that has Metro Ethernet equipment connecting the DSLAM to the network to get 10meg and also need to be within a small radius from the exchange to get the full benefit. Not all exchanges has Metro Etherenet equipment installed to provide all of the 4meg cleints with higher speed services.

Dont think there is a single exchange in the EC that has been upgraded to 10MB. Correct me if I'm wrong. +1 on the hate telkom side though

Be glad you got stable 4meg, my 4meg won't sync at > 2 .. Telkom's response: wait for exchange to be upgraded to 10meg, when? nobody knows.
