My internet has been working fine for a month until yesterday. The light is cyan but the speed is more like dialup. the program says ive got HSPA+ but is sure isnt. the signal is fine, the SIM card is fine too. the download rate goes to 2 kb/s then back to 0 on the cell c application. im in hatfield PTA.

anyone got the same thing?

Same thing happen to madhawk last week - was down for about 3days or so but in a different area.

If you don't get any glory on the forum or if you've not reported the fault to CELL C..

Also give your location and whereabouts *suburb* - that way the staff reading the forum can report back if there is a fault and what is the ETA to fix.

I didn't know Pretoria was part of the Western Cape

Vodacom had a cable break last year took them over a 1 week to rectify nearly - stupid construction was the cause.

For 2 cable breaks to happen - I wonder if 1 was a construction vehicle

hatfield.
although i wouldnt be surprised if theyre re routing traffic or whatever and sh*tting it up for the rest of south africa too.

I am in Johannesburg, not experiencing any problems whatsoever only my modem disconnected today for good 7 days uptime..

What is your dashboard reporting back to you EDGE/HSDPA also have you tried using "MDMA" and forcing the connection to use 3G only

FFFUUUUUU double post. i know its normal, im just getting dialup speed at any given time.

also, that MDMA thing doesnt make a difference.

yeah. it doesnt. :/

ok edge/gprs (green) is actually stable and im not experiencing disconnects.

Same problem, also hatfield. Also since monday. DRIVING ME NUTS... (was so great over the weekend)

Also the usual noise is at -55dBm
shot to -60 last night
during the day today it was at -67
now its almost 8 pm and at -74 and my internet is worse than dialup

mmmm, not good...

Mine drops to 0kb/s quite often and hangs there, then I have to d/c and it takes forever (as if the dashboard is hanging). Does it every 10 mins. Between these 10 mins I get great speeds though and have a strong signal (-71dB), so I don't really understand why it just hangs at 0. Something must be wrong :<

Just tested here in Brooklyn and its crazy slow (also dropping to 0kbs but jumping back up again to 5/10 kbs) can barely browse though. Speedtest at 0.06mb/s.

I've had more downtime than up time with cell c by far. And I regularly travel between 3 different locations and use it at each place, supposedly in the great coverage area.

I'm also experiencing issues in the West Rand / Roodepoort area.

Have had nice speeds for more than a week since I got the dongle, but since last night, I get absolutely no through-put - even on EDGE. The dongle shows connection to HSPA+ but I can't browse. Highly frustrating since I need to download a few updates. Grrrrrrrrr.
