Keep getting the message below when connecting to the internet, I have Google set up as my home page. I can access net via other search engines but like google face. Have run anti virus and spyware software, and have nothing. Is there a current problem I am unaware of - any advice appreciated, thanks

We're sorry...
... but your query looks similar to automated requests from a computer virus or spyware application. To protect our users, we can't process your request right now.

We'll restore your access as quickly as possible, so try again soon. In the meantime, if you suspect that your computer or network has been infected, you might want to run a virus checker or spyware remover to make sure that your systems are free of viruses and other spurious software.

If you're continually receiving this error, you may be able to resolve the problem by deleting your Google cookie and revisiting Google. For browser-specific instructions, please consult your browser's online support center.

We apologize for the inconvenience, and hope we'll see you again on Google.

Ah yes its Google's security it has been known to happen where Google thinks you are a bot. When that happens it blocks you (Ip) for a while. Although this usually only happens if a) There is an error on their part
b) You are searching google like there is no tomorrow
c) Your IP address is being shared with someone else and all of you are using google

How do you connect to the net?

Hi linoman,
using cybersmart adsl @ 384, and am not searching much. I connected this morning no problem, and when attempted this evening - there I was googleless:)
Any advice/

Kinda hard for them to see us at "google" again if even a "www.google.co.za" request looks like a spyware app .. lol

I suppose it is just cause most of our connections go out through proxies so google thinks 1 person in south africa is making an awefull lots of requests. Lets hope it clears itself up soon - google is our friend.

Seems to just be through the frontpage that it is being blocked - using the google search bar in firefox works fine

Back to normal

Thanks for help, started up this morning and Google back to normal. After spending hours downloading and running new antivirus and spyware software in an effort to chase the "bug", it sorts itself out.
I love my computer, but there are moments it's going to go straight out of the window:)
