don't let the fact that you don't have a credit card put you off from placing a pre-order on Kalahari.com.

all you need to do is a bank deposit to your Kalahari.com account and then redeem your credit against the Pre-order.
If you change your mind then you can cancel the order and the credit will be placed back onto your profile.

it's as simple as that

I cancelled my order once and got my credit back into my credit card no probs. I don't know how this will work with deposits and stuff.

Hi There,

You can also use a FREE product call VCpay (www.vcpay.co.za) if you don't have a credit card
The VCpay application allows you to create a one-time MasterCard for shopping online.
See the mybroadband thread: http://goo.gl/VNY8n

I've used VCpay many times to purchase products from Kalahari and other online sites. National & international.

I can place a free pre order in the following stores CNA/Look and Listen and Musica and im sure there are other. All thats required is you walk in place your pre order, they take your details and contact u when its there. I pick it up and pay end of story .....

That isn't simple at all. I thought, hey I'll give this a go, and then spent about a half-hour searching the site to find some way to add credit to my account, only to find nothing, because there is nothing about this on the site. How exactly are you supposed to add credit to your account? You can't just do a deposit into kalahari's account, because they won't know who it is from or what it is for. So then what do you use as a reference, your email address? Your name? What? Do you just overpay on an order?

Select under payment options EFT or Bank deposit

Use this option to pay for your kalahari.com order by EFT or Bank deposit. When you click "Order now" you will receive a confirmation screen with our banking details. These details will also be emailed to you. Please note:

You have 5 working days to pay for your order, thereafter we'll unfortunately have to cancel it.
We can only process your order once payment reflects on our system. This can take 2-5 working days.

What you need to know more ?

+100000 Thanks for this post. Was looking for something like this earlier today:D

I've paid Kalahari via Bank Deposit in the past and subsequently had the order cancelled. I contacted Kalahri and they deposited the order back into my account.

As far as this process is concerned. I think maybe they're referring to the e-voucher system. You can buy an e-voucher worth any value on the website, pay with it via eft or bank deposit and then pay for the pre-order with the voucher/credit if you've already claimed the voucher.

It's all very well for Kalahari Gaming to create an account here, but if they can't even be bothered to check back here in almost two weeks, they're not going to win any love.

Credit Card here is used to refer to Mastercard/Visa cards etc. The vast majority of which are credit cards. Yes certain Debit cards/cheque cards have the Mastercard/Visa logo and details allowing them to be used as a credit card, but that's not what this is about.

You can't use a standard debit card to make online purchases.

Thanks. I didn't see the e-voucher system, just the regular physical vouchers, and I wasn't going to pay to have a voucher couriered to me just to redeem it to get credit for a pre-order. The e-voucher should work. I will wait till payday and then try it out if there is no official response here.

It did seem like the rep was talking about something different, though, where you add credit directly to your account, rather than buying a voucher and then redeeming it.

i just ordered stuff from Kalahari and their "Standardbank autopay" (internet banking) feature worked even better. :D

I have registered for the VCpay and Easypay combo and will see how it works.

Autopay is probably the only awesome thing standard has over the other banks.

VCpay works a charm, thanks guys. I just paid for items online with my virtual credit card. What a pleasure. :D:D
