No iPhone bite

They want to be able to dictate everything to their customers aswell as anyone wanting to develop software for the iPhone,
Quality control - if you prefer open source then apple products clearly arent for you but their stuff works for a reason. ;)
All this while others offer prizes to developers who make good mobile applications.
Others? Who else besides google?
Why doesn't apple just use a shotgun to shoot itself in the foot and get it over with, I don't know how they manage to keep customers.
They supply products their customers want and if you look at their quarterly results they're going from strength to strength.
 
I wonder - ATT does have a 5 year exclusivity on the iPhone.

Besides, I know the iPhone is revolutionary (:p) but who wants a 2 year old phone anyway. :D

iPhone is NOT revolutionary. It's only 'revolutionary' for fanboys because it's hyped up by Apple. Touchscreens, EDGE and visual voice mail (which your network operator has to support anyway) are not revolutionary by any means.
