I have been with Afrihost for as long as I can remember. So I decided to upgrade from 4mbps uncapped premium to 8mbps uncapped premium which has a price difference of R100 per month. So after consulting with their staff(which by the way talks when i am talking...very rude), it works out that I must pay nearly R200 pro-rata. Common sense tells me the pro-rata should be less than the difference between the 2 packages. So then Mr Supervisor joined the conversation by telling me that the "computer system" calculates the prices....HAHAHAHAHAHA....really Mr Supervisor where did the computer system get their logic from. Any way,I cancelled all my accounts with afrihost today. Was gonna do this long time ago but their Mr Supervisor just did me a favor today.

The difference between their 4meg and 8meg premium packages is R200pm.

I think perhaps the OP is at fault here.
Hi there
The monthly difference between 8Mbps Premiums and 4Mbps Premium is R200, but if you're in a bundle it would be R100.
However, for pro-rata rates, we don't calculate it on the bundle but on the individual product upgraded, which is why you were billed R200. This is how our system has always worked, so it's nothing new or unusual.
