No load-shedding until Tuesday evening

And then from Tuesday until further notice; stage 1 at nights instead of stage 2, days remain shedding-free.
 
Are the lower loadshedding stages currently due to lower demand or improved supply?
 
I was told Poeskom bought a couple hundred of these, and yes paid R1,5m per each

A bit of both, there have been some big restorations, plus the lower demand is due to lower shedding.

Are there any figures that show the demand and supply side vs 6 months ago? I saw the EAF graph but wondering about absolute figures rather than percentages.

Nope sadly they don't go that far, but there might be some from Wingnut on the power alert thread.
 
If we have not have had loadshedding for a few days now, why is there load shedding today at 16:00?

What happened?
 
After years of empty promises, I'm cautiously optimistic in what is happening in and to lower and no loadshedding

Who knows and looking at the power alert technically last night should've been stage 1, but they must've used backups during peak to cover it.

I mean in all honesty, you're not even in SA anymore, could you refrain from commenting on things that have no consequences for you? I mean you're not here anymore, if you want affirmation that you made a good choice then, well done buddy you moved out in time... Bully for you. You don't see Sinbad doing it, Voicy or any of the others who have emigrated.

When I was in SA I was treated the same way... told I couldn't comment or complain. Now I will comment. SA sucks, its a crap country, not as bad as the USA but still, deserving of every bit it gets from me... ---- the ANC...
