Yeah so I took my sentinel across to the expedition, but couldn't bring it back after :(. Oh well did take off the tech I wanted and carried it across.

I thought the expedition makes a copy of our current main save ship so wouldn't your sentinel still be there? Perhaps if you copy the expedition ship back then it overwrites, which I think is what you said you did. I'll probably just get the new expedition ship from the quick silver guy and not copy my ship or multi-tool back to main save.

It does, that's why I think I can't duplicate it.
Nah I duplicated the Herald Bounty from Cursed :). So I had the Herald Bounty and the ship I copied from the expedition which was the same but slightly modified.
 
Finished phase 2 and nearly finished phase 3, not bad progress! Reckon I should complete it this weekend.

I didn't do the optional cause people just took to long as it's community based.
But nicely done it's a quick expedition around 8 hours. Especially if you put in some good stuff from the main save.

I've managed to get the optional ones. It is sort of community based but you do your bit by scanning 3 or so things on the planet. Had to get to the rendezvous marker first and then do the scanning for it to count.

I pretty much scanned the planet :( got the first one so eh.
I wanted the ship and the staff.

Sorry you didn't get it but it's an extra anyway so doesn't affect the outcome! I'm getting companion eggs which I ignore, some inventory slots and quicksilver. The quicksilver will be nice to bring back to my main save but it's not that difficult to get.

I think I'm now experiencing what you did, but on the third planet! The community must have finished the others by the time I got to them and it's now on 58% or so for the third planet so am only contributing and not getting the reward.

Yup rather frustrating :) think if this was done later it might be better
 
All done with the expedition! Got the ship and staff and at some stage need to manage/sort out the ship and multi-tool clutter I've created :laugh:
 
Phase 1 done, a bit harder than previous expeditions as space stations are all abandoned, I've had to do a lot more mining luckily a portable refiner 2 is available

MS so I can play on Xbox and PC :).
Yeah this one is probably up there with Cursed, but now I've got my staff and my Senti it's feeling a bit easier again.
The senti really does just ease up the game hovering is awesome. Plus the extra S class stuff from different expeditions helping things along.
Though the new update does seem to have made the game run a bit slower on my Ally :(

I still need to make time to properly sort out one of the starborn ships with upgrades and try out/set up the staff as well. I usually have 2 multi-tools so might be able to have a single one with the staff, although the wiki shows it's not as good with mining but good for damage and scanning.

Yeah i have an old rifle that does mining
