No Man's Sky

See why I've got a fleet :), one fighter, one explorer and one hauler or shuttle depending on what I'm doing. I'll upload a screen shot of my hangar in the freighter :). Though I wonder if I can build a hangar at my bases.
I have a bit of a collection (I think), I just never change ship . I am looking for a sentinel ship, but in the usual NMS distracted sort of way. I maxed out the ship storage and carry a lot with me, so it feels like a hassle to switch ships often. Also feels like I have a pirate battle every second or third system I enter and I would want my fighter for that!

I probably normally don't end up switching ships unless I know it's for specific missions like hunt pirates or something, but last night forgot I was in the millinieum falcon looking thing :-)

Its resemblance to the millennium falcon is exactly why I wanted it! Might never fly it, but oh well  REALLY need them to bring back the expedition that gives the starborn runner, then I might switch between that and the utopia speeder.

I have no idea what those are :-) but I'll try keep at more expeditions, gives NMS more of a goal than wondering from "mission" to mission, like my main save mission is to find something or other related to being out of time, but here I am about 2000 light years away collecting rocks.

They usually re-release the year's expeditions around this time of year but you only get a week to do each one. So those should keep you busy. I need to find the autophage and get a staff multi-tool but think I have to progress further through the main storylines. I sort of started a new save after one of my expeditions so have some catching up to do.

I also spent quite a bit of time buying ships and scrapping them :-) trying to get parts

Yeah saw so this morning, gonna start this weekend.
Last night was just sorting out my new fighter I built :). I sold my A level one after stripping it. Used it for hunting some pirates in an outlaw system to test it out, the infraknife gun blasts through them like butter.
Share photos of your new fighter! The infraknife is amazing when properly upgraded. I think mine is around 70 000DPS and I think some have got theirs up over 100k. Mine already has the butter knife feeling like you said.

New expedition seems way more chilled than the last one, at least so far. I finished phase 1 last night and am trying to get enough nanites to copy my ship and then multi-tool from my main save.

70k on the infra, damn I'm on 19k so far. Don't think I've ever had anything so high. I've taken them, but being on PC I've got to upload manually, Xbox when taking the screen shots automatically uploads to the cloud :-).
I am going to really have to tweak things, but I like using a combo of weapons, the cyclone balista is great for shutting down engines.

I never use any other weapons, maybe because I have a great infraknife. I discovered that putting the main weapon on one of the supercharged slots really upped the DPS, give that a try on your side. And then I have two S class upgrades on another two supercharged slots. I lucked out with three near each other. I sometimes top up my shields during a longer fight but that's about it. Might need a different strategy when I try fighting the pirate and sentinel freighters.

Yeah the supercharge slots aren't close on my built fighter, so that does play an effect, but I did put thruster engines on to one, the tricks I can pull now, pirates don't stand a chance :-).

So I forgot to claim my ship from the quick silver guy, instead I used nanites to claim the ship. Now I've got 2 of them :)

Is this in the expedition? I realised last night that the slightly cheaper option (1400 vs 2800 nanites) is to get the more standard Utopia Speeder from the Quicksilver guy rather than copying my main save fully upgraded Utopia Speeder. It didn't take that long to collect the nanites though so I went for the fully upgraded one.

Nope main save :) just before going to the next expedition. Busy working through to get nanites and stuff to get my ship. A few bonuses I land on the planet and boom right in front of a crashed ship, 4 million units right there :)

yes! I found a ship in the expedition and scrapped it for money plus also found some valuable ancient bones. I don't think you will struggle for money too much when you start.

Nope actually quite a breeze really, the only schlep was waiting for the 3 expeditions to finish before I could move on, all the other things were done. So once those 3 missions came back, I basically just moved through 4 and 5 in an hour :-). Not a bad expedition at all, pretty quick actually.
Thanks to that expedition I did manage to get some better hyperdrive stuff for my ship and my freighter, plus my infraknife is now at 52k dps :-)

You're ahead of me! Can't remember which phase I'm on, would guess maybe 3(ish) as been doing parts from all phases. I have sent out the 3 frigate expeditions though. Got distracted by other games so planning to get back to it this evening and maybe finish. My friend said to remember to transfer some of the freighter stuff back to my main save at the end, hoping I don't forget

That's a very healthy DPS on your infraknife! I would love to get mine over 100k just for the challenge but it probably depends on the supercharged slot layout in my ship. Maybe when I get around to building a fighter I will luck out. Out of interest, now your infraknife is so good, do you still find yourself switching weapons?
