No more Enemy Teritory Quake Wars?

Hi,

I noticed recently that Enemy Territory Quake Wars was a bit dead on the local servers, and tonight noticed both servers were offline? Does anyone know why? Playing on the intl. servers isn't fun, since the moment I hit 300ms ping, it's too slow todo anything really.

Does anyone still play ETQW?

Dude, no offence, but this game SUCKED!!!!!

I bought it, played it once and never touched it again.
The online servers died off pretty much a month after the game was released.

ET:QW was such a huge dissapointment from iD. I know another firm did it - but to let your prime franchise go down that road is horribly reminiscent of EA. Shame on them! Hopefully their next game will be tops

EDIT: And they'll probably blame piracy for the game not doing well too... lol @gdiza, I'm surprised you bought it, I couldnt look at it after I tried the demo...

No one played it anymore because they were too slow to patch it, especially not having voice and squads sucked.

When it came it first I enjoyed the game really, but yeah as I say, it isnt supported properly by both the developers and the players locally

Really???? Have you seen how many intl. servers are up, and full of players at any given time of the day? That doesn't sound like dissapointment to me, it sounds to me like the local players didn't know about it, really.

I haven't seen a local Wolfenstein servers in a LOOOONG time, so it's even more dead that ETQW

You know what upsets me, the people (fans) raved about this game, so I bought it.
I installed it, played for a hour or so and NEVER TOUCHED IT AGAIN!!!!!!!!!!!

I even tried to buy the limited edition too... I have no idea why!!!!!!!!

I also thought this game had huge potential, but we were let down by lack of local support regarding servers.. No voice chat etc ruined it for me and by the time it was patched properly, other games came along that were alot better
