No more Flash for Apple.

Just to let you know.

Apple will leave out Flash in Safari and such indefinitely.
There will also not be any Flash based things for the new mac app store.
(this story did not hit the internets yet but it will.)

It did hit the internet. No big deal. Windows ships without Flash, you have to download it for IE or Firefox. Now it's the same for Macs.

Remember when Snow Leopard was panned because it had an insecurity because it didn't have the latest version of Flash? Well now that's over, since users will have to manually download Flash so it'll always be the latest version.

No, but it's not the first 3rd part product Apple stopped shipping with OSX. No biggie - I run flash block the whole time and only switch it off when necessary. It's amazing how many sites show stuff in H.264.
