Anyone notice how there only seems to be a FUP in place on openserve packages. On webafrica's site they specifically state it's just for openserve and no other provider. Was this always the case?

Also noticed you don't get capped packages for Vumatel on Afrihost or Webafrica anymore. Also a recent change I think. Was there an announcement somewhere?

Been like that for a while. Last year August I can recall seeing FUP only for Telkom

They and many other have a FUP on Openserve packages. This is due to the cost of IPC (capacity on the Openserve network). Having this problem ISP's tend to only buy small amounts of IPC, therefor they will force their user base to use the capacity in a way that they dont have to buy more capacity from Openserve.

When it comes to Webafrica, they are moving their clients over to their new network, this network we hope will allow them to ease up a bit on the FUP or remove it out right.

You can keep up with, and read more about it here : https://mybroadband.co.za/forum/threads/new-webafrica-network-migration.1032879/
