"PC games are popular Christmas gifts and many people won’t think twice about installing them on their work PCs or laptops. Many games are easily accessed and easy to hide, meaning some employees will spend a lot of their working day playing games," says Brett Myroff, CEO of Sophos master distributor, NetXactics.
According to Sophos: “System administrators have voiced their opinion loud and clear: they are fed up of workers installing unauthorized programs and cyberslacking.”
Silly people who slack off during christmas! Word dammit! How dare you think you can have any personal enjoyment!
My solution to this. Uninstall the antivirus.
I can fully understand the annoyance of ppl installing unauthorised apps but but do system administrators really care about cyberslacking?According to Sophos: “System administrators have voiced their opinion loud and clear: they are fed up of workers installing unauthorized programs and cyberslacking.”
Rof en onbeskof, I like it.Yawn, it's so simple, if you don't want people playing games on office systems, shutdown DIRECTX.. Without that common component no game will work.

Lets see now, deny access to external optical/flash devices for domain users, shutdown the installer service for those users.
Please I don't need an external application to deny access to "office gaming".
