For those Cell-C subscribers that are oblivious to the fact that Cell-C has discontinued their Free minute promo when you recharge your PREPAID account.
I recently recharged and found there is no FREE minutes added on.

This must be part of ACK's first salvo in ensuring Cell-C is well positioned moving forward.

I have made up my mind to leave Cell-C in the next month.

Lars really built Cell-C but sadly ACK is going to tear it apart.

Well done ACK. Lars we miss you.

What a waste of all that good money on a state of the art 3G 900mhz network. :(

Well guys let your money do the talking and VOTE again.

It appears hope might be on the Horizon with Appchat - Mweb - Nashua.

Sadly we have to take mobile services from service providers rather than the network operators.

The WOZA Wheneva promotion was stopped way before AKC took over the reigns of CellC. Also, CellC advertised that the promotion was for a limited time only; in fact, they even extended the promotion by 3 months.

Respectfully only last week it was stopped. When i recharged i got the same amount of Free Cell-C to Cell-C calls.
eg. R50 recharge got you 50 cell-c to cell-c minutes for 7 days which expired on sunday evening.

My bad then. I know for a fact that it wasn't to last indefinitely and that the promotion was definitely extended. Been following some other CellC threads here and there's definitely some other offerings in the pipeline; would urge you to do the same.

bought R150 airtime, received 100 free minutes. Truly disappointing because I expected free data.

The day Cell C does away with 'Woza whenever' is the day they will see how much power their prepaid users hold. I can see them leaving in huge numbers to other networks.

I recharged this week with R70 and received my free 70 minutes valid until Sunday.

Hang on until Monday, cause we've been told that a new promotion starts on Monday.

NOW CELL-C has confirmed there is NO more WOZA wheneva.

Well done ALAN you have made swift changes. ONLY 1 month in the job you have saved the company a R1 Billion.
Your Bonus cheque is written. NO CEO could have pulled something like this OFF eva.
Your Data promo also is a big saving for the company.( sorry i cannot collate figures )
Wait till the OBLIVIOUS Customers find out and see the Fireworks.
ONE would have thought you would piggyback on Lars foundation and take the credit.
You now make LARS look like the second messiah on earth.

Keep up the great work ALAN until the Cell-C owners realise they can't cut it in SA and sell to AIRTEL which according to me is a great thing in the making. Trying to see the light at the end of the rainbow.

Cell-c only drew customers because of their Free Minutes which made calling cheaper.

This is Cell C's biggest screw up yet! Their prepaid subscribers swore by this promotion.

Well done, Cell C, for chasing me away. I know I am not the only one who is leaving because of this bad move.

I don't like Alan but I doubt he had anything to do with this. I said it before that Cell C are cutting costs, remember what they did with their data promotion? This is along the same lines.

I agree with you that Airtel should buy this company cause they are definitely going backwards right now.

Lars was moving Cell C in the right direction and I suspect the money-hungry shareholders didn't want to spend money to make it and so they felt their bottom line threatened that they had to get rid of him or make it difficult for him to improve the network that all was left for him was to resign.

one step backward... the only reason why people stuck with cell c as prepaid subscribers was the free minutes, so now this leads me to think, what does cell c offer me... let me see, errr... nothing... this is no way to please customers cell c! i agree, vote with my money, goodbye cell c

Finished my airtime, already bought a new sim (MTN) and in the process of porting.

Having dealt with Cell C's poor signal or coverage I found that MTN was the best option considering that Vodacom has become unbearably crappy these days, besides, I wasn't too keen on going back to Vodacom as I found them terrible value for money when I was still with them.

Guys, what other network gives you 50% extra air time, with no limit, valid for 7 days, with Assam option to extend whatever extra balance you have by another 7 simply by regarding with a R10 voucher?

If you're a heavy user this is ideal e.g. if you normally spend R800 p.m. (6GB data) you get rewarded with R400 to call anyone on any network!

I CALL THAT FANTASTIC!

On the other hand if you normally spend, say R100 my solution is R50 on air time, which works out to R75 voice airtime, and then run down to my local Pick n Pay and buy the R49 ALL-IN-ONE voucher and voila I have an additional 100 Cell C minutes, 100MB, and 100 smses.

SHOW ME A BETTER WAY TO SPEND R100 or R800 on any other network?

I'LL BE WAITING UNTIL THE END OF JULY FOR SOMEONE TO QUOTE ME A BETTER DEAL ELSEWHERE!
