No NTFS support on XBOX

I tried using Swiss Knife in Windows 7, but no luck. After many many MANY hours of Googling and trying out different utilities, the best one I found was EASEUS Partition Master. I downloaded the (possibly trial?) Home Edition and it worked wonders.

EDIT: The command-line option didn't work either. Kept getting errors that it couldn't format to FAT32. I did this a while ago though, when I bought my PS3.

I had to format my 500gb external to FAT just to use it on the xbox. NTFS would have been nice,but now I am just hoping my files stay under 4gb.

okay so i found out the reason they chose to not support ntfs, and yes it sounds crazy but any one who works in a company with different divisions will understand.
yes microsft created NTFS, and in order to use NTFS a licence fee needs to be paid to them by the manufacturer for every unit they sell. (LUCKILY NOT US THE USER)
now the division that crated NTFS lets call them NTFS division
and then we have our friends the Xbox division.
now if the xbox division wants to use the NTFS file format, they would have to pay the licence fee to NTFS division.
now you would say at the end of the day the money goes into the same shareholders pocket and you would be right, but each division needs to show the cost and profit seperatly.
so if xbox division did license ntfs they would have to pay NTFS division for this lets say USD 1 ( i figure its proabably alot more then that) for each xbox and if my figures are up to date last year the total sales for xbox was about 30 million, so that would USD 30 million worth of lost revenue for xbox division, so on a yearly review to shareholders that dont look so good.
