Allrighty then. My contract expired in january, I contacted the call center in december, January and February to move my sim to Pay as you go.

It did not happen. Last week I sent a mail to the customer care Email address and again no responce.
Went to the branch yesterday. They advised me they cannot help me. and the only solution is to phone 011 900 3000.

Guess what. THEY ALSO DO NOT ANSWER PHONES!
Spoke to the debit department that my Bank phoned. They said it is a contract and must be paid.

Dear MTN.

As your customer service department is non functional,I regret to inform you that starting from January no more deductions will be processed by my bank account.

Please continue with your current shady business tactics and I will be forced to open a Case of fraud and theft at the Local police station.

As for the time being I am escalating the problem with ICASA!

If any one else have any ideas please feel free to comment.

Unable to reverse the debit orders with your bank?

MTN just reinstates them. For even larger amounts. Bank is unable to stop them. I filed a complaint with the banking Ombutsman now.

Contacted ICASA. They can't assist. They sent me off the the NCC National Consumer Commision...
I WILL NOT GIVE IN!

As he said, the Small Claims Court is just for this. I have used them 3 times with 100% success. Even got SABCs lawyers off my back, they claimed I has not paid a TV licence for 6 years and despite sending them copies, continued with their action, blacklisting and so forth.

MTN is a FSP and I suggest reporting them to the FSB and copy MTNs compliance officer in.

I saw some Service provider representatives on this forum. MTN not have one?

This will be my ultimate play. As I am very far from MTN head office and all cases must be maid in the vicinity of the defending party.
