okay, so here is my scenario, i signed up to MWEB uncapped 384kb the 29th of April, but i specifically asked the guy who signed me up "mohamed" to only activate my account on the 1st of May, as i don't want to pay a full month for just one day's access, and guess what happened, they charged me for the whole month of April, i have sent emails to them, spoken to Mohamed, he told me i don't have to worry, he will sort it out, and nothing has happened, i have emailed him again and he just ignores me, i am really not happy about this

Well according to their T&C's, you only should be charged pro rata for a incomplete month and your first Dr Order will be 2 full months and the pro rata portion, you sure they charged you for full April?

and if that is why they have charged me they could have at least told me, but they rather ignore me and my request to see if i don't disappear by myself....

You authenticated against the account, therefore you "used" the account and can be billed for the period of usage... You agreed to a set of terms and conditions when you got the account unfortunately.

Same thing happened to me. I signed up on the 30th of April around 23:30. Started using the account on the 1st of May. And had to pay for half a month for 30 minutes that I didn't even use...

Now, I understand their rates and the fact that you pay for the month that you use it in, but... explain to me how I would sign up on the 1st of May if I would have had no internet then to sign up to the service? Also, I did not use them at all for the month (or few minutes) I signed up for.

Damn crooks...

And you could have waited till the the morning =\. Why take unnecessary risks?

i did not know this, but why cant they just tell me this??, do i first have to get mad, and post on a public forum to find this out

i hear what you are saying, but still, they could have warned me

Why warn you if you CHOSE to do it? It is your fault man sorry. Cannot always blame the ISP for giving you a wet diaper.

listen, i called them a few times, they could have told me, "here is the scenario, read the T&C"..., but they rather tell me they will sort it out, and never come back to me, even after i email them

This is technically their fault. As they promised to make an exception for you. The rep you spoke to needs to be retrained, I'd say. :p

Because they are not going to do anything about it so they are ignoring you. Do you really think they care? Of course not man, they assume you read the T&C which you clearly did not. They are going to blame you and not take the blame, way of business whether you like it or not. You used their account even if it was for a minute, it does not matter. Now nothing can be done about it. Just think about it logically and give tell me if you REALLY think they will refund you. Think practically man. Like that other dude before you who said he bought an account 4 minutes before 12 AM 1st May, now whose fault is that?

Did they make an exception or is he being charged just for May and June?

Schickelgruber, we all get your point. What would be nice is a "date of commencement" for the service. Just a little "when would you like the service to start?" so that we can actually register before our other internet account gets cut off. Sure, it's our fault for registering soon before we should have, but what other choice is there? Sacrificing convenience and going through to an internet cafe to register at midnight, since we have no cap to do it on the 1st of May?

Similar thing happend to me. Also signed up on the 30th April at 23:35. (After they announced the pro-rata billing) and then got charged for the extar half a month. Contacted them on twitter and then I got them to reverse the half month charge. So all is good. Perhaps you should try that route
