No Shock?

Hi,

Last night my line went dead, and back in the old day when i was a youngen i remember sticking my tongue on the end of the line and getting a nice little shock, so i tried the same routine last night, but no shock, nothing. I phoned telkom and they said they werent getting a an ADSL signal or whatever they called it. Now what i dont understand its been fine, and i asked them to check the exchange for a powerfailure and no powerfailures either. I have reported the fault, but has anyone had similar problems before?

Lol... So when something's not working, your first instinct is to put your tongue against it?? Your insurance premiums must be through the roof!

Haha well no but i wanted to see if there was voltage its not that bad the shock only like 9volts or 13 or something

Could be anywhere between you and the exchange. Perhaps Neotel cut your line in half Good for their business you see.
