No state health for me please

The same applies to education. I remember the (understandable) outcry when it became known that Naledi Pandor (minister of education) had sent her loin spawn to private schools. The government was obviously not good enough for her precious little bambinos. Not that she would ever admit it in public. No, she came up with the "it is more convenient" excuse. Similar to what Gwede Mantashe claims in that article. :D

How about setting an example for the rest of the country? How about making some sacrifices for your country and your convictions? No, not our very important politicians.

The Third Force today defended their decision to hire an 18ft pink limosine to carry their leader to the Inauguration Party. A spokesman stated "We felt it was apt as our party of 5 will have taken a whole 5 seats in a taxi and therefore deprive the general public of a seat to sit on, on he way to work." Where is the harm in that?"

There was a similar outcry here in the UK a few years back bout the MMR jab, the government stance was that it was not harmful and recommended parents to allow their kids to have it. However Mr Blair would never divulge whether his kids had had it.... bloody politicians...
 
Have you ever heard of the statement "Eating ones own dog food". In the software development industry it refers to using software your company created. If you don't use what you create, you don't have a real feel for how it works or what is wrong with it.

Same applies here, why would the gov care if people die in the public hospitals, it is not them dying, it is the faceless unnamed masses. Strangely enough, it is that same faceless nameless mass that keeps making a X next to ANC every 5 years...

It is time for the gov to start eating their own dogfood. Start using the public transport system. Start using the public hospitals. Start using the public schools. Start relying only on the public protection (police) instead of ADT etc.

Big yea right.
