Just moved to fibre and found out that very few FNOs offer static IPs.

I am aware of services such as DynDNS and NoIP. Are there any other alternatives that you may have considered.

Home fibre accounts rarely offer static IP's, but there are a few that does.

Then if your ISP locks your router mac address on the vumatel network your IP will never change unless you change ISP's or your router.

My dynamic IP has been the same since day one.

Buy an ASUS router and use their built DNS service.
It takes a few seconds to enable.
Using it for years with 0 issues.

I have a few IFTTT applets setup that use webhooks calling a http to my RPi, so not sure if a VPN would work in that scenario.

If you're with Afrihost, you can use:
<username>.ip.afrihost.co.za to get to your current IP.

Afrihost changes IPs every 6 days (they force-disconnect you for whatever silly reason).

I'm on Atomic Access and I have a static IP. It's Cape Town only though from what I understand.

I bought my domain on namecheap, and they have a dyndns service which is easy enough to get working. I had a raspberry pi with (among other things) the ddns client running, before I switched to my current static-IP setup.
