Expensive data costs, particularly for prepaid users.
The need to sign long-term contracts to get good data deals.
Exorbitant out-of-bundle data costs.
Bill shock, especially due to complicated spend limits.

This is what vodacom currently offers lol

30 Gig + 30 Gig - R199
50 Gig + 50 Gig - R249
100 Gig + 100 Gig - R349

Data Carryover for 60 Days

That's all we need in South Africa.

Everyone will be Happy for now and the Networks will be making a good return on their Investment.

No Operator Offers the Above as yet.

Ag jirre....another regurgitated article about rain mobile. Call me when you have actual details.

Supported devices (IE only routers or phones also)
Acutal pricing on data
Roaming on other networks for when you are not within Rain coverage.
Will GSM voice be supported and if so, pricing.

Any feedback on the RAIN mobile launch ?

Their Alpha trial can not be going well if a commercial launch (or at least a Beta trial offered to Mybroadband subscribers) is not on the cards yet after 3 months ?

I have a feeling this is going to fail so badly. Firstly they want to target metros. Uhm most metros have at least ADSL/Fibre/fixed LTE from other providers and the few that struggle and want to switch to Rain mobile would not bring in that much money.

This is going to fail.
