No Water Needed for a Bath

So this kills bacteria. Surely, the decaying bacteria will have their own smell? Don't think we're quite there yet. Also, what about hair?

Well at least it dilutes it all. This doesn't remove any dirt...it can maybe replace a shower/bath for one or 2 days.

And I wonder how much water it takes to make this amazing product. Probably more than a small bath.
 
In winter, the only reason I wake IS for the hot shower!
 
there is nothing better than the feel of a good hot shower and the pounding water running off your skin!

Let me know when they have something that can mimic that.
 
Water can be recycled and most likely be a hell of a lot cheaper than this gel, i see this as one of those great concepts that just are not practical enough to be of any use.
 
Props to the guy, and I am sure armies and such will find a use for this but a more practical thing would have been an easy to retrofit water recycler. If I ever build a house I am most definitely making provision for some solar panels on the roof, fibre wiring through-out the house to easily connect up HD, wireless etc and a water recycling system. The amount of water you can save a month by just re-using bath, shower, washing machine and tap water is unbelievable.
 
Sometimes I'm like this guy, way too lazy to shower, but I obviously do... unless it's holidays and I have no where to go then I might skip a shower.

I think the point is that people who do not have ready access to clean water or enough water would be able to use this.

Not that it is easier to use.

... and frankly without being politically incorrect I can think of a lot of people who could do with some of this!
 
It is a step...but a very small one. I cant imagine life without a good soak in the bath or a lekker hot shower with water pressure that makes your skin hurt just a little.

When we getting sonic showers like in Star Trek?????????? :p

my only question is.... would a sonic bath feel as luscious as a steaming hot water bath with bubbles and all??? :D

I also don't think so... sounds too clinical and boring.... which is why I am not all excited about this discovery personally, but I can see it's uses! :D

Me I'll stick with my rubber ducky! No no THAT rubber ducky... this one...

Should be great for students this invention. No surprise it was invented by one of them. If only he can move along and invent something that washes your jeans while you wear them on. That'd make him rich because I know people who used the same pair of jeans all term long.

Doubt it. The US Armed forces even have freakin aircon on their bases.. They will have running water, and if you mean out in the field, it is common practice for the guys not to shower, as the strange smells and stuff can scare off wildlife if they are doing recon or similar, causing their position to be compromised..
