Noisy Power Supply

I have my PC in my bedroom, (for media viewing) and have managed to keep all the fans quiet - except for the PSU one!!! I want to keep it on at night so my downloads will keep running, but it is rather annoying that it's so loud.

Is there anything one can about this? I mean, i especially bought a Coolermaster Real Power with the big fan to solve this problem, but it's not much quieter

How close is your PC to a cupboard? Maybe enclose PC in cupboard

How old is the PSU?

You can sometimes minimise some vibration by making sure the screws are tight I guess, but if it's a noisy fan, there's not much you can do about it without replacing the PSU/Fan.

My Antec 650w NEO HE psu barely makes any noise.

Had lots of problems with excessive noise. After cleaning it really good, things to go better now. Get all the dust out of the fan, could be that.
