NOKIA 5800 Irritations!!

Please use this thread to state every irritation you have with your Nokia 5800.
Lags? Bugs? Interface? Text input? Anything.

I'm going to sign for one today and would like to know what i'm letting myself in for. All phones have small things that irratate so please list them.

I would suggest to rename this thread to 'Issues' as supposed to irritations, since irritants tend to be subjective...

I want subjective opinions so the title is fine. ;)
 
not charging with the pc is one ...unless im not doing it right,
a bit bulky with the cover on but then again so are most phones,
 
oh i forgot my biggest irritation .... i downloaded doom but when i tried to instal it
it gives an erro msg ...certificate expired...i changed the apps settings to allow it but it still gives me the same error ....thats irritating the cr@p out of me !
 
Turn your date back... start at maybe 6 months ago, if it is still expired, then go back further.

nope not working...it now says date may not be valid yet or expired, date setting may have been changed

i tried a couple of times...no success
 
It will work, but you will need to go to a date between "not valid" and "expired"... I would be very surprised if it didn't work.

ok will try again but 15 feb 2008 is too not valid yet and 20 feb 2008 is expired

2 bugs yes. Irritating?? No, not at all.

1st bug: The envelope of your sms stays closed even after reading the message.

2nd bug: The battery level meter is not 100% accurate. In one application it will show 3 bars and in another it will show 2 bars when changing between apps.

Otherwise it's a excellent phone. You wont be sorry. My Omnia is in the box waiting for a buyer since I got the 5800.

its the game, not the phone that is the problem.. you gonna have to get a valid certificate for it, there's plenty of forums on symbian software that tell you how to do that.. its no biggie just a few steps that you have to follow...

just google it..
 
alas it's still not working codemaster ...15/01/2008 is expired and 19/01/2008 is not valid
yet...the dates in-between give similar errors ...
 
I 'd say that the pouch is for me. It's a very nive pouch but it makes the phone too bulky and its very hard to remove the phone from it when a call comes in (especially when driving).
Other than that i'm loving it so far and looking forward to updating the firmware tonight
 
a Screen Protector is a must for this phone or maybe a clear case. Anyone know a place?
