After you did the update, did you also get a "System Error" when clicking on the Search: Internet and My Content button (on the Shortcuts Bar Homescreen)?

I don't have a link. Downloaded it very long ago.

It is a free app. You can register if you want. But I didn't and I didn't use a crack or anything and it is still working after all the time.

Another good app to convert video for the Nokia 5800 can be found in this http://www.techiechips.com/convert-movies-and-videos-nokia-5800/ tutorial. I tried it and was quite impressed with the results. And it's a free app.

Thanks i did install this, but I can't get it to start the trial version. it keeps coming up with an error after contacting the garmin server.

Does anybody know how to get the IM app on the phone to work with Google Talk or Mxit? I've googled my a$$ off and I can't find any answers!

No, mine is working fine.

I got mine sorted out by doing a hard-reset of the phone. Luckily I did backup all my settings prior to doing the update!

im trying ti update the firmware but it gets stuck at stage 3 (identifying phone) ...

Is your phone plugged in through a USB Hub or straight into the USB port?

Yes, that is the latest one. Then I suggest you restart your PC and your phone and try it again.

Check the following also:

Sim card must be inserted
Phone must be in General Profile
Battery must have enough charge

nope....dont know why...will try at home...
could be the mcafee (at work) or do i need to change the product code or something ?

Nope, you don't have to change the product code at all. Could be a firewall or something.

how big is the update...what if i just download from the phone itself ?
