It is independent from your browser.

Long story short, the cover is quite cool, but the screen protector didn't even last a week, yep, I'm serious. The bubbles never eased out and it's completely busted at this stage (I'm in IT so I actually do scuffle around a lot).

I've had one on my phone for the last three/four weeks and it's holding up well. It's a polymer type of plastic the same as the Zagg but less than half the price. Full body, front, back and sides. I imported ten of them because there was nothing decent (and cheap) locally. I threw away the screen protector I got from the Vodashop for R30 - it was a complete fingerprint magnet. I'm very happy so far and here's the pics I finally got around to taking this afternoon: http://www.flickr.com/photos/32003881@N08/

It collects a bit of dust around the corners and fingerprints still happen but are easily wiped off on your sleeve or pants or whatever. The plastic takes a little while (24-48 hours) to settle in, but any microbubbles soon go away. It's also removable - the top right corner in photo 2 is coming away, so I need to remove it, clean it and reapply using a few drops of baby shampoo in water. R120 including postage if you're interested.

Why is Nokia Software Updater telling me v.21 is the latest, but *#0000# tells me there's a v.30?
 
Tallboy, i have a generic product code (done by NokiaSA ;) ) and i still don't have v31 upgrade available OTA, will try NSU tonight
 
Anyone know how to enable half qw-er-ty keyboard with T9 predicitve text?
 
Thanks for the info about the screen protectors. The price sounds good, will let you know when I can buy it. Currently typing this on my 5800 with Opera Mini 5 Beta. Lol. I don't see an enter button haha. For the guys previously with the corrupt files. I had it this week. Hooked up my phone to my laptop today with Windows 7. I chose Mass Storage Mode and did a checkdisk on my memory card. 123 Bob's your uncle. All my files are fine again and I will safely remove the phone in future. Ciao. tera

The only keyboard available when typing is the mini-qwerty, full qwerty and normal 9 key alpha-numeric I'm looking for the BB pearl style 20 Key QW-ER-TY which allows two letters per button. Saw a review somewhere which said that the 5800 has this. Mine doesn't and I though there was someway of enabling it. Any ideas?
 
Guys I just downloaded the OVI store app for my 5800
Its under the app updates
