u probably had it on nstc playing on a pal tv.
least you have a tv-out chip in your phone

Any small label or leaflet stated this unit was not supported TV-out.



I checked with Nokia careline they informed that due to shortage of components thus such function has been removed from the phone. Nokia will tell you "We did inform customer with tiny label and leaflet included in the box". "Sorry to say we don't have exchange policy, so you better go to sort out with your retailer or dealer".

That what I am exprienced now.



Can you imagine next time we might buy a unit of Nokia 5800, latest N97 mini, X6 etc without Wi-fi, a-GPS, TV-out and so forth by giving you reason "Sorry Due To Lack Of Such Component We Decided To Remove From The Phone"



Boycott "Nokia" if they don't exchange us a unit with TV-out.

We will be noting for concern as a feedback. However, please be informed Mr. XX that Nokia has noted in the box regarding the said case.

The outage experienced by our sub-supplier was quite unexpected. Typically, the lead time for components such as this one is fairly long, and one cannot react to sudden changes at short notice. We value our relationship with our suppliers and sub-suppliers, and know that our sub-supplier is doing everything in their power to remedy the situation and return to regular supply.

The lack of TV out should not affect any other device functionalities besides that you will not be able to show/transmit pictures or video to external monitor/screen.

As Nokia does not have a replacement policy, we suggest to check with your dealer if they have a policy regarding exchanges.

What maps do you guys use? Got a 6 month free license for nokia maps and voice guidance in the box, but that doesn't seem to work...
 
Can someone here try install the latest symtorrent?

I keep getting an Expired Certificate error, tried redownloading, tried setting clock back, even tried a hard reset :eek:
 
From SymTorrent webiste, "We are aware the the certificate of the previous version has been expired. A new version will be uploaded tomorrow."
 
Does anyone use Nokia Music?

I used my voucher to buy an album today...the downloads are worse than dog slow, it's pathetic really and it's DRM, lovely :(

Why are we excluded from the Comes with Music freebie?

To roughky explain. I've got a TV. But no hifi. I listen to music on my tv when chilling at home. Ive also got Twilight the movie on my phone. I dragged the DIVX to OVI Suite and it converted automatically for my phone aspect ratio. Watched it on my tv. Theres more fun stuff to do Im sure.

Don't know to be honest. CWM is fairly new though. Got my voucher in my box.. It's from Nokia. MTN Contract.
 
So i changed my Product Code and did the firmware update, as someone who uses his phone constantly, i can tell you that it is much quicker, so are the maps.

Worth it to do it, i'd say, was incredibly easy using JAF

So i also got my dev key and certificate sorted within 3 hours :)

So whats next?
