NOKIA 5800 Tips Tricks & Apps Thread.....

Google Search now fully supports 5800xm with voice search, i've installed it and it works great! m.google.com to download.

Here's mine. Only problem now though, is that the menu of the Gmail mobile app appears in the centre of my screen (after pressing the menu button, bottom left). Kinda weird... I did a little Googling and a few other people have the same problem. I think it's due to a specific version of the app.
 
Opera Mobile 10 beta = awesome!

I wish there was/is a way to choose a default browser for your phone. I can't seem to find a way to do it. Like, when you press that "media" shortcut in the top right corner of the phone, the browser link opens the default phone browser. It'd be great if that could open Opera or whatever browser you use.

Exactly why i looked for another version, will upload the working one to quickshare, it works 100%, menu where it should be, buttons where they should be :)

Seems easy enough, let me know if it works:

Settings,
Phone,
Application Settings,
Default Apps

BTW Opera 10 seems to eat 30MB of memory :eek:

Don't you hate the Search shortcut? It was the first thing i switched off when i got my phone

Will check now, had to hard reset my phone as i got a corrupt Mail for Exchange email due to an exchange issue at work, and i couldn't find the mailbox on my memory card, nothing came up in all my google searches either :mad:
 
Opera Mobile 10 beta stopped working on my phone for some or other reason. Any URL I entered and then clicked go, it would just hang my phone. Unfortunate to have to uninstall it.

Thats the fun part about beta software! Did you install it on your phone or mmc memory?
 
Built-in Speaking Clock - 5800XM

Hold down the Green Call Key, and when prompted say "What time is it" and it will tell you the time :D
 
My phone fell out of the holder in the car and now my screen is not responding to touch and the internal speaker is not working. Where can I take it to be fixed or check if it is still under warranty etc....
