I think the idea is to access the contact ON the phone, not to transfer them to the radio. I can't really help on that - try giving the JVC manual another good read, or try some nokia forums.
As for the voice dialling, the 6110 uses a voice synthesiser. I not familiar with the method used by 6230 (Did it require you to record a voice tag for every contact? ) The systhesiser is like a built-in voice to the phone - this is the same thing that reads your new messages. To make it work correctly you need to train it so it adapts to your voice, since everybody form sounds differently and pronounce words differently. I've actually sat and trained it a few times for a certain word. After that it works much better. I have lots of afrikaans contacts saved, so it gets difficult. If you really need it to work start by playing the voice tag and listening to the phone's pronunciation, then try and approximately replicating it, then move closer and closer to how you naturally say the word. Alternatively, save the contact under another shorter name. ( I thought it wise to save all my contacts with surnames when I got my phone. Now say "Grietjie van der Westhuizen".....)
Are you aware that you can assign other functions to voice tags as well (settings -> voice comms.) Hopes this helps.
