Nokia 7 plus

Since updating discovery insure app is not working. What could be the reason
Similar issues on my phone after upgrade deleted app and reinstalled it. Seems to have fixed the issue. I think some permissions get lost during upgrade. Also check settings inside the app after reinstall to ensure notification bar icon is enabled.

Has anyone managed to get a decent case and screen protector for the phone? I've looked everywhere with no luck?
It would be interested what other is using but I managed to get this screen protector and it works "okay" https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B07FBCFB45/ref=oh_aui_detailpage_o00_s00?ie=UTF8&psc=1

The cover I have is https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B07B6392NS/ref=oh_aui_detailpage_o01_s00?ie=UTF8&psc=1 Very basic cover, but it protects atleast the back cameras.
I am using a cover bought from overseas. Don't have a link right now but I love it even though it's bulky.

Screen protector not so good .. doesn't stick on the edge. I was in a MTN store this week and this guy had his 7 plus - naked and it was shiny. Asked him how. He used the Zagg custom covers on both front and back of phone and it looked amazing. When I was in sandton a few months ago when I got my phone nobody knew how to use that machine. Seriously am considering it just from the front screen. Don't think that the way that the skin is applied to the back would protect it from drops.

I haven't had any app issues although I don't use that many..

An issue I do have is with the headphone jack. I plug into my car all the time and sometimes when I do and immediately hit play, it plays and pauses. Then I press play again and it seems to ignore that the aux is plugged in and play on the phone speakers. Unplug causes pause. Plug in. Press play. Repeat.

I hope it fixes my navigation button locking issue. Happens every day or two. It's becoming part of my life now.

They didn't fix the damn date in the notification shade

What problem do you experience? Is this after the PIE update?

Yeah it was after Pie. Usually every morning the navigation buttons lock up. It happens with both gesture and legacy navigation buttons. My old fix was a restart. Then someone on the Nokia support forums discovered that if you go into settings >> system >> about phone, the buttons start working again.

I've seen people on Reddit mention switching to dark mode fixes that.

Does anyone else have an issue with their brightness where anything below 16% has no effect?

Luckily for me I don't experience the issue that things lock up. I only did once when the phone was brand new with the first start. What I normally do is to disable most builtin apps I am not using. So not sure if this is also helping me.

Security update installed and so far all is working as expected. I have had very few issues with my phone since I bought it. Still very happy with my purchase.

Hi everyone. I plan to upgrade to the Nokia 7 Plus in the next week or two. From my research, there seems to be quite a common problem where the charging port on the device becomes loose. This is worrying. Are any of you experiencing this issue? Any other common issues that I should be aware of?

nope, no issues with the charging port becoming loose .
maybe it was a specific batch?

I just have a bizarre issue where my phone prefers the cable that came with the phone. Other cables don't seem to clip in very nicely. It's very strange.

Well from what I can tell is that I am happy with my Nokia 7 plus. No problems at all

and some comments here:

I can actually provide sort of useful feedback on the screen brightness issue. It seems to be related to the phones that come with the Novatec screen (you can see what type of screen you have in the "about phone" section). That dude is right, it's like staring at a lighthouse in the dark, really frustrating even though it sounds quite silly. I am one of the victims.

I dealt with Nokia Support via the app, and got nowhere. I then dealt with Nokia Support via Facebook and got more help from them. Apparently someone from Nokia Support will contact me to organise a replacement for my phone. I am still waiting.
