Apparently Cell C has stock?

I once worked at a Cellucity many years ago, and when people came to me about upgrades or contracts, new phones etc I was always aware on availability, "coming soon" and when, or not at all. when the store was quiet I was constantly on GSMarena looking at phones new and old, and i knew all the specs of every phone. The problem is the staff in a store now don't know anything about anything, I always just get blank stares when I ask questions, or you get some that act like they know it all in the mean time know nothing just trying to make a quick sale with lies. I am very often one of those customers that know more about the product than the consultant or sales person.
Tell me about it... I just asked Vodacom about the Nokia 8 Sirocco on twitter and they sent me a link to the Nokia 8
NoWait, it gets better. The screenshot in this tweet has been taken from their catalogue.

, that's a national brochure, are they that dumb. No, that's a national brochure, are they that dumb.
I'll get to the bottom of this.
Ive had an issue with vodacom like this they seem not to have access to see their own Brochures![]()
When i worked at Vodacom, it worked like this, every month the store gets the monthly specials booklet, and they also receive a comprehensive spreadsheet with all the deals including ones that are not in the specials booklet, this includes every deal that can be sold to a customer, only not included are ones that were tailored for the customer, ie. a cheap handset with a gaming console or a TV or whatever. ones that where tailored would be sent off for approval and if the deal cost was below the contract supporting value then it was approved without a pay-in (a shortfall could be filled with a pouch or case or whatever), this tailored deal then also became available on the updated dealsheet versions weekly. The bigest issue was even if the deal was available, but no stock, that is where the problem came in (wait for stock) service providers receive there stock through their channels (Vodacom = VSP stock), this was for warranty purposes, and to allow time for Vodafone branding or whatever crap they put on. It was very possible to get the phone from other sources before it was distributed through Vodacom. I am trying to get hold of the current dealsheet to see if the phone is in fact listed(which i am sure it will be)
Well i know its in the specials, but id like to see it in the dealsheet (excel spreadsheet), which is sent to every vodacom dealer all the time, and everyone in the store has access to itMy wife took out a contract with then that included a tablet with a free 500Mb data sim - they charged us for the free sim every motnmh and everytime we complained they insisted was no deal like that (luckily we kept the Brochure at the time we took it out) but still credited when we complained, finally after fighting i managed to get a hold of the CEOs PA who got someone to audit the account got an apology and they never charged for the sim after - but still he couldn't answer how come their staff can't seem to find the deals they publish
The nokia8 Sirocco is in the May 2018 Brochure it is Page 19 top right next to the LG P10 plus

I understand not having stock looks like no one has , but seriously to not even know what you advertise is pathetic.
Well i know its in the specials, but id like to see it in the dealsheet (excel spreadsheet), which is sent to every vodacom dealer all the time, and everyone in the store has access to it

ridiculous!
lol, they still maintain spreadsheets.
One would think for a company like Vodacom, they would have moved on to MS Access by now. :wtf:
I talked to all the Vodacoms in Sandton Centre and they informed me they only order on demand. WtfI went past a Vodacom store they have no idea when they getting stock,
