What it says. I'm realy looking for an awsome PDA/media device with web capabilities and plenty of 3rd party apps. iTouch looks damn sexy and is pretty much unrivaled as a media player. WiFi is good, but no bluetooth, and even after jailbraking it, I can still only wonder how many 3rd party apps will be availible for it.

The Nokia internet tablet seems just short of a UMPC with WiFi *and* Bluetooth, Very high-res screen but no 3g/EDGE/GPRS. That's not realy an issue since I can connect through my existing smartphone. But what about apps for it? At around R5500 it seems too cheap to be true.

Totally stuck on what to take so hoping some of you guys have experience with both. Would also be cool if I could try the tablet out somewhere first, but im not sure where I could. But anyway, discuss discuss discuss...

iPod, or iPhone?

So its primarily a phone vs a ipod?
Thats like a desk vs a tv. You need to compare similar things.
But I will help you out and say take the phone

No one? It's pretty important...

Other questions:

1. Does it have Java?
2. Word (including opensource versions) etc?
3. What's video playback/compatibility like?

I would recommend N810i, it also has GPS and a QWERTY. I don't think it has Java but I believe you can get Office. For video playback, the N800 was awesome, so I believe that the N810 won't be less.

Sounds good... What about apps being developed for it? And I know it's *not* a UMPC but how similar is the 'experience'? Cheers

It's a Maemo version of Linux, I found it rather non-dynamic as it wasn't compatible with anything else but Maemo apps.

By now there should be tons of apps and games available
