Doubt he'll get anything, Nokia did everything in their power to let everyone know about this...

Nokia has been involved in a recall of these batteries through extensive advertising

Am I to believe that a 3.7 volt battery can give an electric shock! :eek:

May be the 5.7 volts of the charger can give an electric shock? :eek:

Methinks the story was written but a non-tech savvy journalist who like to spice things up a little!

A burn I can understand but an electric shock (or even a tingle for that matter) is just not credible at all...

Anyone unaware of the BL-5C battery recall must be living in a parallel universe where no Nokia phones exist!

May be Nokia could be held liable and ordered to provide the complainant reading lessons???
 
I dont think everyone knows about it.
We on forums and some of us are in the industry so we know about it, it wasnt on TV was it?

A Samsung battery exploded a few years ago and the CT lady won the case, she didnt ask/get alot but she won...
 
I've seen it on TV and heard it on radio plus its been in the press.

Apart from Nokia knocking on every door in the country, I don't see what else they could do.

My gripe is the media building a loud pop or may be even a bang into a nuclear explosion!

In truth the battery did go pop (or bang), gave off a nasty smell and may have burnt the hand of someone picking it up!

At this stage, Noorgat also discovered that his left hand was badly burnt, and there were also minor burns under his arm and foot, and burns through the T-shirt he was wearing at the time.

How on earth did he not know his hand was getting burnt? I'm even more confused as to a burnt Hand, Arm and Foot! Just how could that happen? Did he place it on various parts of his body to double check how hot it was?

I think we need CSI on this one! :)

With a 6 volt charger. With 6 volt, current can jump maybe 2mm.
 
I think we should report him to Nokia and have their layers look 'deeper' into the issue. Afterall this may amount to customers turning away from Nokia and if it's not true, Nokia may want to get some money back :D

Used to build lasers as a hobby and with about 100KV+ could get an arc to jump a gap of about 10cm.

So to get these 'results' you need at least a few grams of C4 and a few hundred KV!

And even then it's not going to do too much if it's lying under the bed.....:rolleyes:

Maybe Nokia discovered the mythical new power source we're all hoping is going to save the planet.....:rolleyes: Better start buying those Nokia shares...;)
