Nokia has announced that it will license its brand and intellectual property to a new company called HDM global.

The Chinese are already killing it in that segment, Xiaomi is actually lagging behind another big contender making gains.

I say take on the S7 and iPhone 6 because Nokia is what started it all and based on pure nostalgia they can make gains in the upper echelons of the cellphone market.

Seems HDM Global are based in Finland so quality will hopefully be on a par with the old Nokia products.

I owned quite a few and the only one that let me down was chewed on by a puppy

If they made the switch to Android long ago, that would have been great!

Nokia n8 best camera and other features for its time.
What other phones around had a 12mp camera (with decent sensor), HDMI output, USB OTG?
I could even connect a USB keyboard and mouse and hook the phone up to my TV.
Not sure why anyone would want that though but it was cool.

Clickbait! It was gone when they sold it to MS. A brand does not make a product. Afaic Nokia died when together with Symbian they killed Symbian.

I find it strange how the likes of nokia, ericsson etc who were market leaders back in the day could have fsked it up so badly.
