Good Day Guys

i need to know something around Data connection settings here. i have a Lumia 520, but struggling to get a connection. Am i to assume, that i would still have to request the settings to get it working from MTN? ie *123#?

if yes, then its kind of weired that these newer handsets you still require to have wap settings sent to your phone. when i was on Android and iphone, i just popped in the sim, and connected easily.

It depends on your sim card aswell. The newer cards have the connections settings stored on the card, and that's what the phone reads. If it can't find the settings on the card, you can request the settings, or add the APN manually.

If he's found the Access Point he should just be able to choose MTN, my 620 that's been flashed with an EU ROM picked up the 2 Vodacom APNs automatically.

Internet APN should be : internet or mymtn
