Nokia N70 & Edge.

Not all Nokia phone models show the 'E' for EDGE.
For example, E70 does not, E65 does, 3250 does not from my experience. Differs from model to model.... I have no idea why.
You can verify this by checking the N70 manual. I have also read of certain Nokia firmware updates introducing the 'E' or '3G' icon... I just don't remember for which phone that was.

Thx for the info. I've downloaded a file yesterday to check the speed, but it was GPRS speed.
 
CellBell I also have a Nokia N 70 on Vodacom and mine shows the 3 g symbol when connected. However, you have to contact the service provider and have the 3g or edge enabled as far as I am aware. Give them a buzz and find out.

Yes we've recieved a lot of settings from VC, gprs, 3g, mms, etc.
We do not have a 3G sevice in our area, only gprs/edge
