It looks very different to the iPhone! The N9 has no button on the front, which is a very distinctive thing of the iPhone. The two is about as different looking as can be, considering that they both have a similar sized rectangular shape to work with, and with both needing the same basic slots: 3.5mm audio, power/data, volume buttons.
I would have loved getting the N9, but it lacks some of the features which I came to love in my N8 (USB host, FM transmitter).
With the recent Anna upgrades and the Belle upgrade due soon, I'm also not sure if Nokia is going to support the N9 on a software front as much as they do the N8. So though the N9 looks like a nice phone, I'll stick to the N8.
Ye you definitely need new glasses there mate, you're totally alone on this.
Yep, second Belle leak is working perfectly on my N8, not long now before official realease.. FM transmitter and 12mp AF camera are indispensable to me..
Hey! Easy now! I just upgraded to an N8 last month, and I am loving it so far. The N9 is cool-looking, even if it doesn't resemble an iPhone, and I think it is a turning point for Nokia. The general opinion about Nokia seems to be improving, I agree things are getting better.
N9 looks amazing but the dead-end Meego OS isn't so cool ... yes it's pretty slick and it ships with plenty of apps but who will develop for it in the near future? Definitely something for the less tech-savvy end-user (like your mom maybe?)
This should say everything you need to know. I wish it (Meego) would have an active development community It's very sad to see such an apparently good thing dead from the get go.
The Lumia 800 has a 1.4Ghz processor, while the N9 has a 1Ghz one.
Don't think the N9 will sell record amounts, but consumers will buy it for various reasons.
The Lumia will be THE big hit for Windows Phone 7 and the first time consumers will take WP7 seriously. The HTC and Samsung phones are all butt-ugly and makes WP7 look like the ugly duckling of all mobile OSes out there. This phone will set things right.
The N9/Lumia 800 is probably the most beautiful phone I've ever seen.
