I received my N900 this morning (Thanks Nokia and MyBB) and have started playing around with it and up until trying to connect the phone to my laptop via PC Suite was very VERY happy with the phone. Unfortunately, the phone is not fully supported by Nokia PC Suite (Unfortunately your phone is not fully supported by Nokia PC Suite) and from what I can gather online is still only in testing with Ovi Suite and is not supported at all. I wanted to install some apps that I downloaded for my phone but the Application installer doesn't see the N900. I also don't seem to be able to see my contacts or messages with Nokia PC Suite. It connects perfectly to the internet via PC Suite. I am just curious as to when Nokia will have a PC Suite that fully supports the N900. I tried finding something online but found very little with regards to this. Besides the PC Suite issues, the phone is amazing and I don't ever see myself getting tired of it. I just hope that the SO doesn't adopt the damned thing because I do NOT like her E66 very much :D:D

I download all my apps directly with the n900, it's easier and installs immediately. If you prefer, for whatever reason, to download apps onto your PC first the easiest way to install them is to connect your n900 in mass storage mode, copy the install file over then disconnect the phone from the PC, use the n900 file manager to find the install file you copied over and open it! It will install...
Just out of interest, what apps are you wanting to install? Almost everything I've installed has been via the n900 app manager directly. I've had the phone for 6 months now and have not felt a need for PC suite (which was always dodge with my previous nokias) or Ovi Suite either!

But thanks for letting us know about the latest Ovi Suite (2.2) supporting the N900, I'll give it a try...

Yeah, I used it in mass storage mode to transfer the apps but am used to using PC Suite. I have now downloaded Ovi 2.2 (98MB) but am having difficulty getting it to find my phone for setup. Will update once I get this damned proggy running properly. I hate Vista and thus blame it :D

Tell me about it... actually, spare me the details.

Still not having any luck with the Ovi 2.2 Reinstalling drivers and restarting machine. Hopefully it will work then...
