Hi All,

Heard so much abt this phone its absolutely unbelievable, Well just wanted to let every1 know that italk has the phone and i will be picking mine up tomorrow. Its available with a cash in but i spoke to italk and they were able to split the amount over 24 months so its added to my account monthly.

FYI - procall 120 @ R415 (including 100p/m extra for once off pay-in)

oh its in the dbn branch so im not sure abt availability in other areas.

one satisfied customer! :D

Lucky you. I'm still waiting for stock.

Nice!, R2400 payin is a bit hectic though think i'll wait to see if MTNSP gets it this week...

So i went to MTN Pavillion today, customer care guy walking around the place was convinced the phone is only arriving in May:rolleyes: even though im explaining to him its on the website and jhb has it:sick:
anyway decided to just go to italk and pay the R2400 payin over 24 months like gresham but pavillion branch didnt want to do that lol

@gresham please pm me the branch you went to:)

Sorry for late reply...

I managed to get the N95 from ordnance road in durban....

Spoke to management there and yes is i did organise to have the "once off" payment split into 24 monthly payments. Makes it allot easier than the lump sum of R2400.

The only reason i asked italk if they did this was when i was thinking of upgrading to the N93 there was a "promotional" fee of R40 p/m , when i asked what this fee was for... they said it was a cash payment that was divided into 24 months to make the phone more affordable. So i decided to ask the same for the N95 And i GOT IT ! yipeeee !
:D

I dunno if this was asked, but is the phone responsive or slow? ... how does the gps work? accurate? slow?

Camera shutter speed? ... does it actually take long to take a picture once you pressed the button? ... build quality? is it flimsy, the N80 is a bit flimsy not that solid in build

well im picking up the phone tomorrow so i'll only be able to give you more definitive info once i have it in my hand, i did hear that its a little slow on the response side after taking a pic but i suppose i'll have to use it first to confirm if this is true, nevertheless i cant wait to get it !!!

I had a contract with iTalk once and they will do wonders to get you as a customer,I don't have a problem with them, I am with Mtel now like to work direct with SP. iTalk always the cheapest of all MTNSP but they based in Durban.Gresham, how is your N95 treating u man???

adamr the n80 does not take long to take a photo,I just take one now and it was quick.Faster than some digital cameras.

PS Gresham enjoy your phone man.

You see, we know exactly when the N95 is launched, when its in SA, when its available and even when it farts... thats cos we passionate about the phone.

On the other hand, SOME people who work at these places are not as passionate as we are, they just there cos of the job... and every1 hates work now dont they :p

Yes, for the people working at MTN, or any other Cellphone company, this is just another phone. :D

definitely!

but do you recall any other phone ever being treated like (the early 90's) Michael Jackson!

maybe we're glorifying the "thing"??

sorry if thats a bit too deep. but it is still a phone...

THE BEST PHONE EVER!

and the funniest thing is that NO-ONE has ever switched it on!

It wud be funny if when we turn on the phone, the traditional Nokia logo appears, then the hands join each other with the traditional Nokia tone... and right after that both hands point an UP-YOURS towards the screen and the phone switches off :D

Piesang, what would you do then :P

O yeah, there is a fake N95 on the market, called the Nokia N-95 (note the hyphen) available in China I think.. saw it on the N95 Blog, looks bad :p

Just went to iTalk, I should have the phone this afternoon....lets hope hey:) paid R1000 payin and the rest (R1400) split over 24 months which works out to a extra R60 a month.

Oh i just heard that Autopage in Durbs now has it on contract with payin of R1499.
