Best it to go on Hellopeter and ask Vodacom what the hold up is. Dont call the people that know nothing.

I don't mind the VODAFONE logo on my N95, cos I'm a Manchester United fan and Vodafone gives me good memories. But that don't mean I would buy a SHARP tv or get an AIG insurance policy, just that Vodafone looks good.. 
All the MTN guys playin wit da N95 until it turns yellow, and still no wink of it on Vodacom?
Or has any1 heard/read different...

And hopefully it gets cheaperrrrr with the Voda birthday coming up
Im sure it will be free on a weekender, new activations only.

So you're saying that if I go to vodacom and upgrade my weekender contract, i won't be able to get it, but if a go for a nip/tuck and enter witness protection, i can get it with a new contract free?
Our beloved SP's want to recruit as many new faces as possible to the contract game... If you are already on a contract, there is no need to entice you further

So what's to stop us taking out a new contract and cancelling the old one...

Only thing that stops you then is you will loose your number. You can only keep your number if you port. If you cancel your contract at the same SP and take out a new one you will not be able to keep your number.
