Nokia N95

Only time will tell, I guess I do not mind whether it comes in April or May cause my current contract expires in the middle of May. But should it come tomorrow or anytime before May I will be one of the first people to get it cause as from 1st of Jan this year, I qualify for an upgrade!;)

dont get too excited about that fact buddy, the first handsets released are usually the buggy ones :(

wait a while till the second or third batch hits the streets ;) they also most likely to have the most recent software versions too ;)

I've seen the N95 at Nokia with some of the guys, the maps aren't loaded as yet, firmware not great either, but as someone else said, it is launching in UK shortly, Hong Kong stock is floating around at a heavy premium and I wouldn't want that software version,

Local stock should be around by late April, early May,

We will have the first batch of stable stock on www.eXactmall.co.za

Hi all, just phoned Nokia, and they say the release date in SA for Nokia N95 is first week of march.

I also remember going to Vodacare, Shop 122, Tygervalley Shopping Centre on the 22nd of December last year. The guy checked on his computer (probably Phone ETAs, etc) and said that the N95 will be available in March!

OK sorry about that one apparantly nokia is releasing it 1st week of march, only THEEEEEEN is it going to the service providers. At this rate, Nokia South africa will be able to sell 2nd hand US phones, cause we will get it when it is almost a year old. And don't waste your time phoning Nokia on the number on the website, it does nothing, Vodacom: ask nokia, Nokia: ask service provider. MTN : tried 3 times, each gave me someone elses number, ended up going back to the useless 808 number. And apparantly the N93 is not available. (MTN 808)

Go to VirginMobile and grab the N93!!!!

Same difference, I can always do a software upgrade.;) Either from my comfort zone - NSU. Or take it to Nokia! So, the software is not an issue here.

the only thing this phone doesnt have is the dbh-tv thing im not sure if im correct or not..

Getting N95 on contract

I've spoken to my SP today, they're getting the N95 next week, and will be keeping one for me. They did say, though, that delivery from Nokia not always assured. Can't wait!!

Everything about N95 is great, except the Nav. Maps are free from Nokia, but for turn-by-turn voice navigation, you have to pay Nokia MONTHLY! Crazy! Like paying Audi monthly to use your car radio...
