Agree. I sometimes wonder if Nokia ever really listens to customer/market feedback. In the early days of the E90 there was a huge outcry for improvements to be made but nobody at Nokia cared to do anything about it. The E90"i" that was demanded never came ... and it now seems as if the E90 will not be improved upon at all and no E90 successor seems to be on the way.
Nokia probably doin this to gain a larger share of the smartphone market ... but i wouldv expected Nokia to better the N97 when it releases a variant ... like it did with N95 to N95 8GB .... it looks like the dpad is missing so that alone is a deterrent for me as i would like the freedom to choose between touchscreen or conventional dpad navigation ...

I dont see the issue with the resistive screen. I did a side by side comparison between my Nokia N97 and my mates Iphone....honestly they were just as responsive as each other. I will say though that the Iphones implementation of kinetic scrolling is slightly better and smoother. But for all that the Iphone has, I still prefer the N97 for features. My opinion only.
