Nokia Remote Camera PT-6

I happen to have two of these units and it was quite a mission to get them.

What application do you have in mind? I've built similar functionality (SMS-triggered MMS's) using normal PC technology, especially when there are a large number of (CCTV) cameras involved.

I believe there is a new model on the way that will do video streaming.

I particularly am interested in the SMS triggered MMS's as well as the motion detection MMS's - not too concerned about the video MMS's. So how about flogging one of your units V3G? As I said Nokia don't sound too positive as to getting new stock....
Maybe I should rather invest in that CCTV wireless set at Makro with the 2 camera's and hook it up to the PC and then look into your functionality of using the PC technology - is it difficult, (expensive hardware or normal 'spare' cell phone? (I have this second contract that is being used for free weekend minutes cause I desperately had to have the 3G phone I got free with it))
Could you perhaps point me in some direction on the web to read up on this?

The units I've got are on loan from Nokia.

There are quite a few Symbian apps that will do the same thing with a normal MMS phone. I.e. you SMS the phone and it will take a picture and MMS it back to you. Do a search and you'll find them.

One PC-based app I use is NowSMS (http://www.nowsms.com). In this case I've got about 40 CCTV cameras connected to a video switch, connected to an Axis video server. The setup is quite simple. When the nowsms server received the sms, it switches the video switch to the correct camera and takes a snapshot of the image via the Axis server. It them MMS it out via a standard gprs modem. All this is done with a DOS batch file.
