Nokia is broadening its legal fight with Apple, saying almost all of the company's products violate its patents, not just the iPhone.

Its typical, someone patents something which should never have been patented in the first place and then wants to sue.

Patents are not about protecting IP, it's about how much you can milk someone else who did the real innovation. Much like that insignificant Canadian company with an equally insignificant XML patent that milked a truckload out of <cough> MS... [did I actually say that?? don't quote me on that.]

Sue the pants off Apple I say. They act like they have come out with all this great technology yet it has been available on Nokias for ages. If nothing else it will show all those Apple fanboys that they are merely followers and not trend setters... as the rest of us have known for ages!

i belive Blackberry went through similar issues a while back. makes you wonder how much industrial espionage goes on out there...
