Right decision by Nokia. I didn't think they'd have the balls to admit their failure and adopt WP7 but they did.

WP7 is exciting and very promising. Right now it's very 1.0 but it gets the basics very right. Nokia's hardware + MS's software will be a very good platform.

That may be, but personally I doubt whether very many people will be around to care. It'll be interesting to see which way it goes, but I predict bloody noses. Sadly I think it's not necessarily the right decision, but the only decision that could've been taken.

Elop will make sure Nokia shares hit rock-bottom, then Microsoft will buy Nokia for cheap and start releasing their own phones like Apple.

Very good strategy. I don't trust Elop AT ALL. Microsoft sent him to infiltrate Nokia.

Nokia plans 2011 and 2012 to be the transition years, in which they will build their "winning ecosystem" with Microsoft. After that they expect their net sales to grow faster than the market and the operating margin to reach 10% or more.

By 2012 Nokia will cease to exist. Imagine where Android will be in 2 years time while MS & Nokia are still developing!
