Bundesliga is becoming very popular. IIRC, it has the highest overall turnout for the games. But that's probably because Germany is the only country in Europe with any money

What made it sting even more was Paulo Sousa playing for Dortmund & Zidane's lacklustre display. I do have great respect for that team though, non for Bayern, awful club that poaches the best german talents & bullies the smaller clubs into negotiations.

Yeah their broadcast quality is great as well & their stadium atmosphere is exciting. What gives german teams the edge is that they focus on local talent, they have youngsters that are from their local neighbourhoods playing for the big teams. Ticket pricing is very fair & it doesn't hurt that they can drink beer at the stadiums.
