I need a TV for the lounge and I'm pretty stuck when looking at all the options out there, budget is around R8k, having Android would be a big plus, so far I've found:

Sinotec 50" with Android - Seems like insane value for monty with 5 year warranty+ Android at that price but what will the quality be like?

Samsung 50" - Great looking TV with HDR, probably the safest bet but the most expensive and shortest warranty out of the lot I've seen.

Skyworth 49" - Comes with certified Android TV and uses an LG panel I think with a 3 year warranty. Unsure of quality?

Hisense 50" - Decent TV with 4 year warranty and HDR apparently.

Suggestions and advice would be greatly appreciated.

Skyworth owns Sinotec.
Sinotec also uses an LG panel, and the Sinotec you linked to also has Android TV.

Both the Samsung and Hisense you linked can't do HDR properly anyways.

If it was my money and not too interested in proper HDR I would take the Sinotec or Skyworth.

Thanks for the heads up, I ended up with this Sinotec for R6 999.

Runs pretty smooth so far, looks good, has proper Android TV and included an el cheapo bluetooth gamepad, Steam link identifies it as a Skyworth Device.
