i heard that once you buy it you have to download +-1GB of patches? upgrade? duno what it is :p

isnt there an expansion or something similar? i dont mind buying it instead of blowing my 1 gig cap

also, would it work with mtn 3G? COD4 gives me a lot of crap about "server reserved for players with low ping"

lol. Just get someone to burn you a disc with all the patches or better yet - a copy of their wow folder and you're set to go :)

You won't have ping problems until endgame/raiding content!

I would not advise playing on a mobile connection, but lots of people have decent service from their mobile connections. Super low ping in wow is nice to have but not really game breaking. Try it out with a trial account and form your own opinion.
Second there are a lot of patches that you will need before you can play, so best is to ask here on the forum if there are someone close to your location that can possibly help you out with a copy of the game directory.

Patches are much bigger then 1GB. You can start with WOW + Burning Crusade then then get the Lich king later.

On a side note, it's good form in Raids to need on everything you can to get as much stuff as possible. Everyone normally cheers the person who gets the most loot at the end of the Raid :D

As previously said - ask someone you know for a complete copy of their Wow folder and copy to your machine. Wow doesn't write anything to the registry so no issues there.

I know people that play quite successfully using a gaming proxy (like YourFreedom) and a HSDPA connection.
