This is probably one of those familiar complaints ... apologies if you've heard it all before. If there's more on this here, please direct me to the relevant forum and I'll read further.
I have a 3Gig DSL account with Webafrica, and another 2Gig with a wireless provider for a location out of town. I tend to do most of my work and browsing with the latter so recently the WA account has been nicely 'in the black'. Today, however, I see that I've used over a gig on downloads all on my ownsome. How did that happen?
I'm not doing anything differently to what I do on an everyday basis. In fact, there are usually three people using the WA connection here - today only there are only two, me and my brother who's hardly been in the office because he's been sorting out his car.
WA techie suggested I download Netlimiter2 but that's only for PCs (I work on a Mac). He checked that I secure my wifi connection here (it is). He suggested it might be Skype and FB. He has shown me how to change my DSL password. I don't think my Mac has a virus. Could this be something to do with the IS upheaval reported in a thread elsewhere today?
Guidance would be appreciated.
