I like bitdefender.
This was my preferred AV solution when I still ran a Windows machine, was like I upgraded my CPU when I replaced Norton with BitDefender, in my experience.

Now I'm worried about Norton on my PC!
Should I uninstall it and get MSE?
Does MSE have a firewall and other goodies?

I don't see why you should have to buy an AV system thought when there is a very good free one out there (MSE).
MSE definitely way to go. MSE does not have a firewall but XPSP3, Vista and Win7 does have one built in.
OK, there's the problem right there!First replace your brain, then reformat you computer.
Just Kidding... no really, Norton is the devil. I see it comes with a lot of software downloads these days (same with McAfee). If you don't actually wait and see to check what other crap they are trying to give you... you can easily click past it without noticing the check box.
Fortunately there is a complete Norton removal tool on their website (if you date go there)!![]()
